The first book published by the Center for American Law, dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence, is now also available in an online edition

At the end of 2025, the Center for American Law published its first book – American Judiciary and the Declaration of Independence – A Mirror of Possibilities. The foreword was written by the Center’s Vice President, Ivana Matić.

Although it is a collection of papers dedicated to the Declaration of Independence, the book’s value lies not only in legal analysis. It is at the same time a platform for competition among undergraduate and postgraduate students, a symbol of building bridges of cooperation between Serbia and the United States, a historical and legal handbook, a project marking 250 years of the Declaration of Independence, and ultimately, a beacon illuminating the path toward prosperity and the rule of law.

The book is authored by eminent legal expert of global standing Scott Y. Stuart, Esq. CEO INSOL International; Katarina Nikolić, Eva Ristić, and Emilija Lukić, outstanding young lawyers and postgraduate students whose papers demonstrate exceptional maturity and quality; Milica Kukanjac, who was a first-year law student at the time of writing her paper; and Vojin Biljić, President of the Center for American Law.

We sought to connect balance and asymmetry, experience and youth, past and future, Serbia and America.

It is for the reader to judge whether we have succeeded.
