Present Work:

Milan Parivodić is principal in law firm PARIVODIC ADVOKATI which represents and advises major US and European companies in their complex transactions in Serbia. Client list is available at request. Milan is member of the Atlantic Council of the United States since 2010, and honorary member of the Vienna Economic Forum. Dr Parivodić is general counsel of the Geological and Mining Association of Serbia (GRAS). Served as minister of international economic relations and acting minister of finance in the Government of Serbia, but had no state or political activities since 2008.

Dr Parivodić is well-known for introducing breakthrough novelties into Serbian legislature and devising new ways to structure commercial transactions. The Mortgage Law (2005) which Milan drafted and defended in Parliament enabled first time ever the mortgaging of non-registered buildings and even mortgaging just a building permit – this innovation exploded the real estate industry supported by one million mortgages in Serbia. Milan totally reformed the Serbian Law on International Trade, aligning it fully with WTO and reducing the number of required approvals from 24 to four. Milan bridges legitimate needs of modern companies with traditional practices of the state.

Dr Parivodić advises foreign investors in their complicated investment projects in various industries and solves challenges efficiently:

After the fall of Milosevic regime in 2001 Milan got involved in improving the business environment in Serbia. In the last 23 years Milan participated in drafting/defending in Parliament key reforms Serbian legislation: Foreign Investment Law (2015), Mining Law (2021, 2015), Foreign Trade Law (2005), Arbitration Law (2006), Mortgage Law (2006), Religious Communities Restitution Law (2006), Law on Efficient Protection of Intellectual Property (2006), draft Property Law (2006), draft Law on Restitution (2007), Law on Enforcement and Collaterals (2004), Concession Law (2003), Foreign Investment Law (2002).
